Engr. Kutubuddin Ahmed is the Founder and Chairman of Sheltech and Envoy Group. With a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from BUET, he is an entrepreneur in the field of textile, garments, real estate, construction, and other industries. He is a former president of BGMEA and MCCI. He was also secretary-general of the Bangladesh Olympic Association and a recipient of the National Sports Award 2002. He was awarded the Business Person of the Year 2016 by DHL and The Daily Star.
Engr. Sk. Bashir Ahmed is the Vice Chairman of Sheltech Group. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from BUET. He has extensive experience in power transmission and distribution networks as well as renewable energy systems. Apart from being a business person, he is also a sports activist. Currently, he is the president of the Bangladesh Gymnastic Federation and Vice president of the Bangladesh Olympic Association. He was the former joint secretary of the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Mr. Tanvir Ahmed is the Managing Director of Sheltech Group. He is also the Director of Envoy Group. He holds a Masters's degree from Cardiff University, UK, and a Bachelor of Arts degree (with Honors) from Kingston University, UK. He also obtained a Diploma from the London School of Economics (LSE). He is currently a Director of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Associations (BGMEA) and an Executive Committee member of Bangladesh Employers' Federation. He is also the Former Director of the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI).

Dr. Toufiq M. Seraj was the Founder and former Managing Director of Sheltech and its associated companies. He was a visionary and a pioneer of real estate in Bangladesh and played a leading role in shaping the real estate industry to be where it is today.
His vision to provide beautiful and quality homes for the resident of Dhaka led Sheltech to develop over 3700 apartments all over the city, transforming Sheltech into a symbol of excellence in the real estate industry of Bangladesh.
Dr. Seraj was a past president of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) and held the position for three consecutive terms, during which he advanced the industry by stressing on professionalism from all developers, as well as insisting on stringent safety and quality control on construction sites. Dr. Seraj was also a former president of the Bangladesh Institute of Planners (BIP), and played a major role in developing the Detailed Area Planning of Dhaka.
He was a former faculty member of BUET, and has a wide range of publications including several books on urban planning, housing and real estate in Bangladesh. For his education, he obtained his Ph.D. in Civic Design from the University of Liverpool, UK as a commonwealth Scholar. Earlier he completed his Master of Urban and Regional Planning and Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from BUET.
He breathed his last on June 21, 2019 (BDT) on Qatar Airways flight to Doha.

University Education: As one of the pioneers in real estate industry, Sheltech has always felt it imperative to pass on our high standards of professionalism, construction quality and engineering ethics to the next generation of engineers, architects and management professionals. In the past, we have given presentations in various universities like BUET, BRAC and Daffodil to share our experiences in real estate and have invited engineering and architecture students from East-West University and BRAC to our under-construction projects to show them how the theory they learn in class is applied practically on the field. Some of the topics we cover during our presentations and site tours are how to design creatively under space and cost constraints, and how to push for better urban living by incorporating community spaces for people to interact, disability access in common areas and bathrooms and adding sustainable features such as rain water harvesting systems in buildings. In addition, we also offer paid internships for engineers and architecture students in their 4th year.
Elementary School: In order to promote interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) subjects in school, Sheltech organizes an engineering summer camp, called the “Amazing World of Engineering”, for elementary school children, aged 7 – 11 years. Research has shown that teaching children to question and explore the world around them from an early age helps them to be more interested and confident about STEM subjects in higher education. With its guided experiments, and hands-on-learning, Sheltech’s engineering workshop aims to inspire children to be more curious about the world they are in, and how engineering principles apply to the real-life problems they see on a daily basis.
Sheltech plays a key role in forwarding social change in the real estate and construction sector in Bangladesh. We regularly hold round tables with newspapers and industry stakeholders to forge the way forward in pressing issues such as construction safety and quality, seismic risk mitigation in buildings and providing a better urban living by incorporating community spaces, children’s play area and disability access in our buildings. We also take part in conferences and seminars to update our building code, contribute to newspaper articles on construction safety and quality, and create posters for our clients educating them about the dangers of buying non-code compliant buildings, especially for earthquake and fire.
Support Volunteer Organizations: Sheltech regularly contributes to volunteer organizations like the Center for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed, Green Channel, various rotary programs, cultural events at schools and colleges such as the Math Olympiad, and photo and art exhibitions such as the Urban Chaos by Photoffee Academy for Fine-Art Photography.
Social Awards: To create awareness, and champion social justice, Sheltech has created an annual "Sheltech Award; which honours eminent personalities in their lifelong dedication to social causes. Previous awardees include Professor RaGiqun Nabi (Ranabi), famous artist and cartoonist, Professor Emeritus Ainun Nishat, climate change specialist, Professor Emeritus Seraju I Islam Choudhury, proliElic writer, for 2015, 2016 and 2017 respectively.
Affordable Housing: Since its inception, Sheltech has had its very own research department to study the urban problems of Bangladesh and to find practical solutions for them. For example, the high land prices of Bangladesh make apartments very expensive for middle and fixed income families. To make housing more affordable, our research team analyzes the development pattern for Dhaka, so that we can develop projects for clients in areas that are still affordable but are set to become popular urban hubs in the upcoming years.
